- William and Margaret (nee Miller) McCrie farm. - The family emigrated from Scotland to Hamilton, Ontario in 1852. - Their son Hugh was sent to find land and bought this plot in 1853. - The family moved there in 1855. - William died in 1882 and Margaret in 1887. - Their son William inherited the farm upon his father's death. - The younger William died in 1923. |
